Clean Air Counts
The Village is a Bronze member of Clean Air Counts (CAC). Clean Air Counts is a northeastern Illinois regional initiative to reduce ozone-causing emissions, thereby improving air quality. CAC is a collaborative effort between the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Started in 2000, CAC provides a non-regulatory approach to voluntarily reduce emissions by promoting cost effective clean air strategies to help the region attain and maintain compliance with Federal air quality standards.
