Demolition

To Obtain a Total Demolition Permit You Must Have:

All Utilities Shut Off (Must Show Proof)
A Completed Lincolnwood Permit Application
A Completed Cook County Permit Application
All Contractors and Subcontractors Must Have All Bonds and Licenses
Send Letter to Notify Neighbors of Demolition
Send Letter via Certified Mail
Provide Building Department with Receipts of Certified Mail
Tax ID Number
A Completed Demolition Permit Application

Please Note When Performing a Residential Demolition:

Sign with Date of Demolition Must Be Posted On Construction Site.
Demolition Must Be Witnessed By Building Inspector.
No Demolitions Can Occur on Saturdays.

To Obtain an Interior Demolition Permit You Must Have:

3 Sets of Plans
All Fees Paid
All Contractors and Subcontractors Must Have All Bonds and Licenses
Tax ID Number
Depending on the Percentage Demolished, a Cook County Demolition Permit May Be Required. Please Call the Building Department at 847.673.7402 for More Information.
