Permits and Inspections

To protect life and safety, the Village has enacted a comprehensive set of codes to ensure safe and sound building and development in the Village.  To ensure code compliance, a permit application with related plans are submitted to the Department for review, and upon approval, permits are issued authorizing the work.  During and at the end of construction, inspections are performed by the department to ensure compliance with the permit and Village codes.
